Assistant Professorship at the University of Dallas

Applications are invited for a position at the Assistant Professor level in the Physics Department of the University of Dallas beginning 8/28/2013.   Applicants must demonstrate a strong passion for undergraduate teaching and be committed to liberal arts education. We seek an individual who can teach broadly in the physics curriculum, contribute creatively to our laboratory teaching program and provide undergraduate research opportunities for experimental investigations in physics, preferably in condensed matter physics.  The Department currently has forty majors and an outstanding track record for its graduates pursuing graduate degrees.   A Ph.D. in physics is required.   Review of completed applications will begin on December 15, 2012 and continue until the position is filled.  Submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, contact information for three professional references, and a brief statement of teaching philosophy and research plans to:  Physics Search, Department of Physics, University of Dallas, 1845 E.
