Non-TT at Goucher College

Goucher College, a selective small liberal arts college located twenty minutes north of Baltimore, and the first college in the nation to require students to study abroad, invites applications for an assistant professor in experimental physics, beginning Fall 2013. The appointment will be multiyear, with the possibility of conversion to tenure track, pending administrative approval. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in experimental physics, preferably with some postdoctoral experience. Successful candidates should provide evidence of their commitment to excellence in teaching, and the potential to develop a strong on-campus research program that involves undergraduate students. Start-up funds for research will be available. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach across the curriculum and develop upper-level laboratory curricula. The review of completed applications will begin January 15, 2013.
