TT at Doane College

Doane College invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Physics for fall 2013.  We are seeking candidates with enthusiasm for teaching creatively all levels of students in the undergraduate curriculum and who can develop meaningful research experiences in experimental physics that are attractive for physics majors. Courses to be taught include introductory physics, electronics, mechanics, optics, engineering statics, and either descriptive astronomy or physical science for non-science students.  Ph.D. or advanced ABD, college teaching experience, and a commitment to teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts college preferred. S/he also will have the opportunity to teach in interdisciplinary programs.
