Fixed Term Contract for 6 Months (Maternity Leave Cover)

You will be enthusiastic and committed to Physics teaching to promote the study of Physics in schools, address the transition from school to university, and coordinate and extend the department's Outreach activities.


Warwick Physics is routinely rated in the top ten Physics departments nationally, and is committed to improving the quality of teaching for its students as well as helping to promote participation in Physics both locally and nationally. This post provides the opportunity for a Physics graduate or teacher to join the department, engage with the research groups within it and work with teachers in local schools to enhance the delivery of Physics.

You should be passionate about Physics and Physics teaching. Applications are encouraged from candidates with experience in teaching AS- and A2-level Physics but fresh graduates or those with other professional experience will also be considered. The post is jointly financed by Warwick University and The Ogden Trust (http://www.ogdentrust.com/) - the successful applicant will share the drive of The Trust to encourage and promote the teaching of science and its uptake.
