The UNC-Wilmington
Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography invites applications
for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of
lecturer, to begin Fall 2013. Primary responsibilities of this
position entail teaching undergraduate laboratories and, depending on
the applicant’s qualifications, teaching lecture sections of the
algebra-based introductory physics class. In addition, the successful
candidate may be asked to proctor exams for other faculty, lead
recitation sections, and perform various other instructional tasks at
the request of the department chair. The standard workload for this
position is 12 credit hour equivalents (CHE) per semester.
Minimum qualifications are a
master’s degree in Physics, or a master’s degree in Physical
Oceanography with a bachelor’s degree in Physics.
