Job Description The Science, Engineering and Technology Division is seeking an innovative and effective faculty member to serve a diverse student population that includes science and non-science majors. The successful applicant will teach a range of courses that includes calculus based physics, non-calculus based physics and astronomy in both classroom and laboratory settings. Curriculum development, student advising, coordination with division faculty and participation in college wide activities are required.
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in physics or in a closely related field; college teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications Community college teaching experience that includes both lecture and labs in physics and astronomy courses; experience incorporating technology effectively into classroom and/or laboratory instruction; ability to coordinate with and mentor adjunct faculty teaching physics and astronomy.
Compensation Commensurate based on experience and education. Plus excellent medical insurances and tuition reimbursement
