Job Posting Summary

The College of Arts and Sciences , Physics Department is recruiting for two one-year, bipartite Term Instructors of Physics for the academic year. The department offers a Minor in Physics, and directly supports degree programs in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics by offering a variety of lower and upper division courses in Physics and Astronomy.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position.

Must have the knowledge, skills and ability to teach PHYS 101, PHYS 123L, PHYS 124, PHYS 211L, PHYS 212L, ASTR 103 and ASTR 104L at the college level, experience teaching at a U.S. Institution, willingness to work with students and sensitivity to a diverse student population. Collegiality is a must.

Typical education or training required for this position (including licenses). M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics or related field.

Length of time and type of experience required for this position. College level teaching experience required.
