The School of Natural Sciences at the University of California, Merced, invites applications from exceptional scholars and teachers for the position of Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE) in Physics, starting July 1, 2011. The LPSOE is a permanent, full-time instructional position. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong dedication to undergraduate Physics education, including teaching excellence in the classroom and an interest in broader programmatic objectives including course development, recruitment, retention, and assessment. Candidates should also demonstrate potential to successfully secure external funding to support innovative educational initiatives.
