Job Summary/Basic Function: Founded in 2005, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is the 35th member of the University System of Georgia. GGC is a premier 21st century four-year liberal arts institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools. With a current enrollment over 5,000 students, enrollment is projected to exceed 10,000 students within three years, including both residential and commuter students. Located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area, GGC provides a modern technology-enriched learning environment. Gwinnett County (pop. 780,000+) is home to a variety of businesses, including organizations involved in health care, education and information technology.

GGC is seeking candidates for the position of part time Physics Faculty for SRING 2011 semester term. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology this position teaches college-level introductory Physics courses. This position also reviews, evaluates and recommends student learning materials, and evaluates students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates must have a Master's degree in Physics or related discipline from an accredited institution.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse population of students.

Preferred Qualifications: A doctorate degree is preferred. Teaching experience preferred.
