Applications are invited for one or more long-term lecturer positions in Physics. Start date is August 23, 2011. Responsibilities primarily include teaching courses and laboratories in algebra- and calculus-based introductory physics and physical science.
Candidates must have a M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy by June 30, 2011. Candidates must have one year of teaching experience; two semesters as a half-time teaching assistantship in graduate school meet this requirement. Qualifications also include good communication skills with both students and colleagues; the ability to teach introductory undergraduate physics lectures and laboratories; interest in and commitment to undergraduate education; a demonstrated commitment to or experience with racially diverse populations.
