The Department of Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Education in Secondary Math or Science Education and Program Evaluation to begin September 1, 2011. Responsibilities for this position will be divided between teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in our Day and Weekend programs in secondary science or math education pedagogy and the implementation of program assessment and evaluation for the licensure programs in Education. Other responsibilities include advising students, supervising student teachers, and serving on department and college committees. Required qualifications include PhD in education with emphasis in secondary math or science education or related area; experience teaching in higher education; three or more years experience teaching math or science in a secondary school setting, and program assessment. Candidates should be current in technology, best practices in teacher preparation and other recent changes in K-12 education.
